Uniting Africa’s Yoga Community

How can we serve you

Yoga Africa is your supportive online Yoga network and resource hub. Our intention is to develop and nurture relationships between the South African Yoga community.

We will guide Yoga teachers, studios and organisations to create and maintain a powerful and unique online presence. Allowing you as a teacher to share your weekly classes, training courses, workshops and retreats. Be visible to a new and existing following of students.

Our continuous vocation will be to actively market your Yoga, giving you more time and energy to specialise your teachings.

For those that are actively seeking out Yoga teachers, our website will be established on the internet as the go to guide. As an existing Yoga practitioner, Yoga Africa will make it effortless to follow your teacher’s work.

For both teachers and students alike, Yoga Africa will be a resource full of information and guidance . Teachers can use the website to manage and share online content such as articles, sequencing, photos, audio recordings and video blogs. Students can easily access all of this content, integrating the practice and knowledge of Yoga into their lifestyle.

Nana Wen

Nana is the Founder and Owner of Oneness Yoga Studio – Westville

The idea of Oneness, however, remains to be realized by ourselves as an individual; as such it is the intent of this yoga studio to help people find “Oneness”. On a personal note, yoga has taught me to overcome my fears, to accept myself, and taught me that diligence and patience reaps great rewards. Being a practitioner for 3 years before deciding to join the teacher training program with Diego at Inner Wellness Studio, I have noticed a major progression in my knowledge and practice of yoga after graduating in October 2015. To share this knowledge and to help people bring peace and calmness into their lives naturally became my source of joy.

Nana Wen has created the idyllic yoga studio environment, the Oneness Yoga Studio in Westville

Nalini from thelotusroom

Nalini from thelotusroom

Nalini from ‘thelotusroom’ at Earth Mother Organic in Glenwood, is a 200hr certified yoga teacher and an alternative therapist, working in the field of healing through reiki, reflexology, massage, conscious cooking and Ayurveda.

“My profound love for all forms of yoga started at an early age, and has inspired and influenced me through the years, as I continue to learn. It is as much a spiritual journey as it is a physical one for me.

My Monday evening Hatha Yoga classes are inspired by Guruji Iyengar’s teachings. I believe that by connecting deeply with breath and a body aligned for optimum energy flow, you are supported to connect even deeper with the inner essence of who you truly are.

Alignment based Hatha Yoga classes include Pranayama/ Meditation- Mondays 6 to 7.30pm

By drawing from my practice as an alternative therapist, I aspire to create a balancing and nurturing space in my Friday morning Restorative Yoga classes. This allows you compassionate conversation with your body and mind, teaching you how to relax deeply in order to heal on every level.”

Restorative Yoga and Pranayama/ Meditation- Friday 8.15 to 9.30am
